What does Sconely bake?

Sconely bakes a variety of delicious sweet and savory scones and scone crisps (thinly sliced double-baked scones), with plant-based, gluten-free and nut-free options. Most of our scones and scone crisps are available year round and we have special seasonal flavors as well.

Where are your flours and other ingredients from?

We use Central Milling Organic Unbleached Malted Wheat Flour, Central Milling Organic Hard White Whole Wheat Flour and Bob’s Red Mill Kamut and Spelt Flour. We mix our own gluten-free blend for our gluten-free flavors with Bob’s Red Mill Organic Brown Rice Flour, Sorghum Flour, Potato Starch and Arrowroot Powder.

We use locally sourced Alldrin Brother’s Almond Flour and Traina Foods Organic Dried Cherries and Organic Sun-Dried Tomatoes. For our chocolate sandwich crisps, we use award-winning Organic Guittard Chocolate. If you have questions about where we source other ingredients from, we’d be happy to help.

What makes Sconely different?

Sconely updates traditional scones by creating unique recipes that maximize flavor and nutrition and are influenced by international cuisine. Sconely addresses special diets, such as plant-based and gluten-free and we use super foods, such as spinach, purple onion and ginger. Our scones and crisps are made with organic unbleached flour and all natural, healthful ingredients. All of our flavors are free of refined sugar, soy and preservatives. We put a lot of love into creating remarkable treats and packing them in recyclable materials.

How does Sconely give back to the community?

Sconely supports various non-profit organizations, such as the Fulfillment Fund, Community Healing Gardens, CoachArt and the California Fire Foundation, through donations of scones and crisps, as well as participating in volunteer days.

I’m craving those crisps! How quickly do they ship?

Sconely Crisps are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and FedEx Ground and takes 1-5 days, once the order is received and packed. We will send you a tracking number when your order has shipped. Due to the pandemic, there may be a delay in your shipment.

Does Sconely deliver freshly baked scones locally?

Our scones are perfect for events, meetings and gifts. During the pandemic, we are not delivering freshly baked scones. Contact us to inquire about future orders.

Is there a charge for shipping?

Shipping costs for Sconely Crisps are calculated at checkout. We offer FREE shipping for Sconely Crisp orders of $50 or more. Pick up from our downtown Los Angeles location is free, please contact us to arrange your pick up at orders@sconely.com.

How long do your scone crisps and scones stay fresh?

Sconely Crisps have a shelf life of two months. Sconely Crisps are packed in recyclable BPA Free plastic jars with a biodegradable cellophane insert to preserve freshness.

Our scones are baked to order and best eaten within 48 hours of delivery. Scones can be stored in the box they were delivered in and do not need to be stored in the refrigerator. If you have extra scones, you can freeze them and defrost them when ready.

How does Sconely address food sensitivities or allergies?

We are continuously developing recipes that accommodate various dietary preferences. Although we offer gluten-free, nut-free and dairy free options, we cannot guarantee that any of our scones do not contain traces of allergens (including dairy, eggs, soy, tree nuts, wheat and others), as we bake in a common kitchen where shared equipment is used.

Where do the names of your scones and crisps come from?

The names are inspired by nicknames of our friends and family.

Sconely strives for excellence with everything we do. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us at orders@sconely.com. Refunds will be issued on a case-by-case basis.

Can I send a gift?

You can send a gift by filling out a gift note and choosing an optional celebratory sticker. We hand write gift notes for you — just include the text with your order and we’ll take care of the rest!

Can I reschedule a pick up date / time or change a delivery address?

Contact us at orders@sconely.com or reply to your Sconely confirmation email with your request and we will let you know if we can accommodate your changes.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel an order for any reason, please contact as soon as possible at orders@sconely.com. Cancelled orders will be issued a full refund within 72 hours if received at least 24 hrs before pick up or shipment dates.
